There is / There are (あります) Negative

This pattern is used to say that something exists (あります) or does not exist (ない) in a given location.

Examples

• 部屋に時計があります。

  There is a clock in the room.

• 家に犬はいません。

  There is no dog at home.

• 図書館に本があります。

  There are books in the library.
