What's inside

Six surfaces. One quiet classroom.

Built around the way adults actually learn a language — read, listen, speak, repeat. No streak shame; no kawaii mascots; no surprise paywalls.

Reading-first

Every level opens with hand-authored short stories with sentence-by-sentence audio. The app logs every kanji you meet and schedules a quick SRS review — so the dictionary feels earned.

Kanji you remember

Mnemonic images, multi-language meanings, stroke-order animation, and audio readings — stacked on a single calm card. No flashcard fatigue.

Shadowing (Kaiwa)

Coherent multi-sentence narratives recorded at natural speed. Shadow any sentence, tweak the speed, record yourself, and compare.

Voice Vocab

Pronounce vocab out loud — the app scores your pronunciation against a native model, so you know if you're actually saying it right.

Practice exams

Mock JLPT and JFT-Basic sets built from the content you've already studied, so every question is relevant practice, not random trivia.

Calm, modern

Sumi-ink + washi-cream palette. System dark mode. One tap to switch between eleven interface languages. No aggressive notifications.

Kanji Dictionary

Why “360”?

Because the kanji you actually own is the one you can read in a sentence, hear in a podcast, write from memory, and explain to someone else — you've approached it from every angle. That's 360°.

Built by Pixeliro, the same studio behind ABC Phonics. We're language nerds who got tired of streak-engineered Japanese apps that punish you for taking a day off.

Frequently asked

Who is Kanji 360 for?

Adults who already know hiragana and katakana and want to move into kanji and reading — from total beginner (N5) to advanced (N1). The web version is also handy as a quick reference dictionary.

Does it work offline?

The app caches everything after first download, so you can study on the subway, on a plane, anywhere. The web dictionary requires a connection.

What does it cost?

Free for N5 and N4 content. A one-time unlock gives you N3 through N1, shadowing audio, and voice scoring — no subscription.

Why kanji-first?

Because every adult learner eventually hits a wall where vocabulary study stalls without kanji. Tackling kanji early — through reading — means vocabulary and grammar start to make intuitive sense.
